Galentines Day is one of my favorite days of the year! I love looking into cute pinterest ideas, picking my annual gifts and getting together with my favorite gal pals! The day is so special to me because no matter what’s going on in my life, it give me a break to reflect on why I love my tribe so much!
In years past I have hosted Galentines Day at my home. Admittedly, I get really into it and search for the cutest items to decorate my house. Some of my favorite finds have been at Christmas Tree and TJ Max. You can find really cute paper plates and cups that have adorable pink hues and mix matched florals patterns. Just add a fresh bouquet from your local supermarket and you have a budget conscious brunch set up!
While I love hosting at home, this year I decided to switch it up and go to a local brunch spot that I hadn’t been to yet! I picked the restaurant based on 1. atmosphere (from what I could tell from google images, and customer reviews on Yelp), I look for a fun and cozy vibe with yummy food! 2. location being central to most of my friends and 3. serves mimosas!
This year I decided to choose Cobblestones in Lowell, MA. It had just the right vibe I was looking for and the most welcoming host and servers when we arrived!
It also helps that there brunch menu contained something for everyones food palate, including chicken and waffles! #yum
Another thing to consider when inviting a big group out is the drink menu. Not everyone is into mimosas so it important to find a brunch spot that offers a few different drink options!
Now to my favorite part, the gifting ! Every year I try to go with a different theme for the gift. This year I went with a pink theme! I found adorable mini WoodWick Rosé candles, mini Russel Stover Chocolate Heart Boxes, limited edition pink Lindt Chocolates, saltwater taffy (not pink, but work as a good filler and they are delicious) and the perfect mini gift bags with tiny hearts all over!
*Tip stock up on tissue paper, when you buy gift bags you will save some money. Smaller stores will offer tissue paper at ridiculous prices and only provide a few sheets!
Last order of business is to pick the cards. I like to buy card packs and write meaningful hand written notes in each one. It gives me time to think about all the things I love about each friend!
I hope you found this to be helpful, and it inspires you to plan your very on Galentines Day gathering!
